Surveys

At Fusion Technical, all of our surveys are conducted in line with HSE guidance HSG264& in house standard operating procedures. Our team will locate and identify asbestos containing materials (ACMs) and then carry out a full risk assessment.

Our asbestos survey services will identify the location, type, condition and extent of any ACMs present, assess the risks and provide clients with recommendations for the suitable management of any asbestos containing materials (ACM's).

Contaminated Land

The term 'asbestos' relates to several fibrous minerals regulated under UK law that are known to cause serious health effects (including mesothelioma and lung cancer) when inhaled. Asbestos containing materials (ACMs) were widely used in construction, and it is difficult (and sometimes not possible) to ensure that all asbestos is removed before demolition. Building rubble is liable to contain ACM, and may contain free fibres. ACM fragments in rubble or soil can be difficult to detect by the naked eye whereas free fibres in rubble or soil are generally not visible.

Air testing

Fusion Technical Ltd are fully qualified and can arrange to undertake air testing to cover all the client's needs. Asbestos fibre air monitoring is used to detect the level of asbestos fibre within the atmosphere. There are various different applications and situations in which air monitoring should be undertaken.

Asbestos Removal Management

Fusion Technical can manage the entire asbestos removal process ensuring minimal disruptions to clients. We handle the procurement aspect by presenting impartial LARC quotations to clients, written recommendations post full assessment of removal contractors through pre contract auditing ensuring only quality, qualified & competent contractors are appointed to undertake specified tasks through proven and identifiable experience of completing similar projects. We help organisations across the UK and from all industry sectors to safely manage the asbestos on their sites. Fusion Technical will undertake intensive due diligence taking away stress and time consuming management to allow clients concentrate on what they do best.

Training

Asbestos is an incredibly hazardous substance that causes serious ill-health to anyone who disturbs it. For this reason, anyone who is likely to disturb asbestos in their work must have an awareness of the correct health and safety procedures to follow.

Every employer must make sure that anyone who is liable to disturb asbestos during their normal work, or who supervises those employees, gets the correct level of information, instruction and training so that they can work safely and competently without risk to themselves or others.

Consultancy

As the responsible person (Duty Holder) commissioning an asbestos survey isn't the end of your legal obligations under the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR 2012). To achieve full compliance there are minimum stipulations set out within L143:managing and working with asbestos that require fulfilment. Fusion Technical consultants will guide and support you through the whole process and ensure that you are sufficiently managing your asbestos and continue to do so in the future.
